1983 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series

1983 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series 300D Additional Info:

I am the second owner of this solid 300D. The first owner bought it in Germany new and shipped it to the US. The German VIN (WDB1231301A038810) is not recognized by US VIN decoders. I have used it as a daily driver for the last seven years. It runs well. I have kept it well maintained with recent updates of the radiator, the exhaust system and the rocker panels. The odometer has not functioned since I have owned the car. All original items including radio, keys, floor mats, first aid kit and tool kit. I recently moved close enough to work to walk and no longer need the car. It was evaluated by a mechanic and the following areas were described as loose: right rear wheel bearing, left rear lower control arm bushings, front drag link, both rear sway bar links, and the left front outer tie rod. Also rust was identified in front of the leaf rear tire, left rear quarter panel, and near the rear window.
