Here is a very clean and all original 1982 Mercedes Benz 300SD. We are offering this vehicle on one of our no reserve auctions and we will sell to the high bidder. Please review the description and feel free to reach out for further information. I am open to ending the auction early if we can arrive at an agreeable price. The current condition of this vehicle makes it a great candidate for restoration or leave it as is and drive daily.
This exterior of this Benz is finished in light ivory paint. The overall condition of the exterior is ok for the age. There is evidence of previous paint work but all panels are original; not uncommon for this age in AZ. There is uneven paint fading about the car but the light ivory color makes it not very noticeable. The clear coat is pealing on the drivers fender. Factory alloy wheels with a matching set of tires. All glass, plastics, lenses and trim are in good condition showing only minimal signs of wear for the year. All handles and latches are in good working order.
The interior is in good condition; finished in saddle leather, not MB Tex. The leather is in good condition throughout with no rips or tears. All other interior materials including door panels, carpet, and other trim panels/pieces are in good condition. The dashboard does show some minor cracking but can easily be covered and or repaired. All climate control functions are in great working order with air blowing from selected vents. The AC is not cold, compressor cycles on but air does not get cold. Other factory options including power seats, cruise control, power windows, and Sunroof are all working as designed. The vacuum locks are not working.
Mechanically speaking this vehicle is special. This Diesel starts, runs and drives excellent. One of the better diesels I have heard in recent years. It sounds amazing, very strong and clean. The transmission is great and shifts just like it should. There are no leaks and needs nothing to start driving daily as it sits. That being said it has been the daily driver for its previous owner for several years.The value of this vehicle is in the originalityof the vehicle inside and out and the excellent drive ability.
