1966 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Additional Info:
The car body is mostly original, some surface corrosion and signs of light repair. Original paint was dark green, current gold paint is 5/10, with multiple scratches. The car runs, drives, stops and performs as it should. The car was originally equipped with A/C, however with the engine replaced the A/C was never reconnected. The full exhaust was replaced a year ago. Brakes were done at the same time and new set of tires/rims fitted. The car now has brand new battery, oil/air filter service and ignition switch replaced for more reliable start. The car starts first time, keeps good idle and runs stable.
The car is a driver-level condition. Front seats are worn, cracked and would require skins refitted. Rear seats can pass as-is, with minor cracking. Door panels are in good condition, so is the glass.Signs of paint bubbling on the passenger fender and signs of sheet metal repair in the inner fenders (engine bay) and in the lower quarter panels (trunk). The rest of the trunk and most of floors are original.Engine bay is clean, the engine runs excellent and all accessories work as they should (starter, alternator, power steering pump). Sunroof operates as it should. Currently there is no radio, but a period-correct (Becker or Grundig) radio will be provided with the car. There is a set of booklets with the car. Spare bundt rim with worn tire is provided in the trunk and the lug wrench.

Note: As this is 51 year-old car, there are numerous little issues that come with the age. It is not new, it is not perfect and by no means it is ready for 24 hour of Le Mans race. It is a lovely looking car for the right owner that would make many heads turn and hearts would go: "Aaaaaaaahhh" on your Sunday rides to Starbucks. Or you could go for slight restoration and still look a million dollar man. Take it like that, I explained the issues I am aware of and complemented the listing with pictures. If you don't see clearly on the pictures or have other kind of questions, please ask before bidding - here is the number: 416-834-1049. Once you win the auction, the car is yours, remember that.
Bid early, bid often and don't let this one pass. It is well worth the coin.
Now, off to the races...good luck, it is a good car.On May-03-16 at 14:58:58 PDT, seller added the following information:
