1995 Mercedes Benz E320 Cabriolet
W124
Excellent Condition
This is an excellent example of one of the last traditionally overbuilt and over-engineered Mercedes Benz convertibles. This being off the W124 chassis, it is larger and can carry 4 passengers, unlike the SL series of the same era. This triple black E320 is just plain stunning. The black paint is shiny and glossy, interior free of blemishes, runs and drives like a dream, cold a/c, and everything works like you would expect. This in an excellent running and driving example, with zero rust, like new tires and battery, and clean AutoCheck. Pictures do not do it justice, as it is ever better in person. I have been personally driving this car for several hundred miles, and will attest to the mechanical and driveability is just as nice as the pictures. Miles are 92,330 or so and actual.
The EXTERIOR of the car is virtually blemish free. There are no dents, ding, or damages. There are a couple small scratches that are near the convertible top area, but that is basically it on the exterior. Tires are nearly new. Lights all work, no leaks, no issues. Convertible top is in great shape and does not leak. It has a couple small wear marks, worst being on the bottom along the edge. Nit-Pic item: two of the center caps on the wheels have some discoloration. Overall I would rate the exterior in EXCELLENT shape.
The INTERIOR of the car is in VERY GOOD condition. There are no dash cracks, controls work, seats are comfortable, and the driver’s seat shows limited to no wear. The rear seats appear to have never been sat in, and are excellent as well. Nothing significantly to pick here, but here is the two items I found: the center console roll top cover is missing and there are screw holes on the driver’s door panel where a flip down cup holder was installed. It is also missing the original books.
The mechanicals are in EXCELLENT condition. It starts right up, drives straight, is comfortable, and is not leaking, smoking, or using oil or other fluids. Windows all work, lights, heater, a/c is cold, upgraded stereo and CD changer and upgraded speakers works well, but it’s is an aftermarket SONY item. It tracks straight down the road, and is comfortable in town or at speed on the interstate. I have put well over 200 miles on this car since it came in and I see no issues with it.
These cars have been underappreciated and are, in my opinion, one of the next cars to significantly increase in value. These are well over-built, yet not overly complicated to repair should something break. The W124 chassis is overall very reliable, this being a good example.
