1982 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class Additional Info:

Original engine has 99K miles and original paint, except the passenger door. See pictures.

PLEASE NOTE THIS CAR HAS A DOUBLE ROW TIMING CHAIN. Engine has a slight sign of rough idling. I was told to look for a vacuum leak by my mechanic, since he found no other issues.

Hard top and soft top.

The dash has the plastic cover that I saw on many SL’s, allegedly there was a manufacturer recall on this issue before.

The soft top is in good shape except someone cut on the passenger side (Repaired), and passenger side plastic quarter window needs to be worked on (top part ripped about 10 inches and attached with duct tape), it may be repairable though.

The car has a beautiful ride, the cruise control works. The automatic gear shift is smooth at normal speeds, with high acceleration you might feel a slight shift between gears.

The blower does not blow when stationary even I have the blower replaced recently – looks like some other issue. The warm air is coming from the vent when you drive and the AC control unit in saloon sometime makes a beep. I think the heater’s water switch got stuck in open position.

No noticeable rust spots on the car body and in the areas of doors and windows. A few small dents around, but as I said the paint is original. Odometer and all gauges work. All lights inside and outside are functional. No engine oil leaks. You might need to add a couple drops of transmission oil if the car seats over 10 days. The fuel pump and all brakes (calipers and brake pads with lines about a year ago) have been replaced with new ones.

The rear springs and all shocks are replaced recently. Audio works. USB, CD etc. with Sony Amp.

The tires are all match and look like 75-80% still there.

I drove it last year to pick-up my daughter from the school 5-6 miles every day.

Reason for sale – moving to another house without enough space to garage the car.

I have soft covers on the seats, but the picture without them attached, the driver seat has usual wear for 35 years old car, but passenger seat in a great shape.

No tools or manual. Clear NC title. The SL560 logo on the back, however the car has 380 engine.
