1991 MERCEDES 190E CUSTOM 160 miles 5 Speed
Custom built 3.0 M103 engine and 5 speed MANUAL transmission by previous owner. Engine is in good condition and car drives straight. No oil leaks.Rust free. All windows and sunroof, cruise control work fine. CleanManual Transmission shifts perfectly. No problems.
All items below were done in 2015. Put on about 10,000 miles since.
ENGINE
sourced engine from a 1990 300e M103 3.0 liter with 60k miles; now 85k. Replaced head gasket; valve guide seals; water pump ; CIS rubber boots below fuel distributor and idle valve hoses; balanced injectors; distributor cap and rotor; non-resistor spark plugs; air and fuel filter; ALL MERCEDES PARTS. New EHA installed as old was leaking.
TRANSMISSION
sourced from 1986 190e 2.3 m102; owned by a mechanic; shifts like new; flywheel sourced from a 1988 260e and resurfaced at a machine shop;
allows the car to cruise at 2500rpm at modern highway speeds averages 25mpg with mixed driving
replaced all bearings; pressure plate; friction disc; fluid; clutch slave replaced front and rear flex discs; driveshaft carrier and bearing rear differential fluid changed
SUSPENSION
replaced all coil springs and shocks (lesjorfors/bilstein) ; spring seats to level ride height; tie rod assemblies; idler arm bushings; steering dampner; ball joints; all four rear subframe bushings and balljoints

INTERIOR
replaced heater core and rebuilt all vacuum pods; replaced blend flap resistor;
climate control system works as new, heats excellent. AC does not work.

Items to be looked at:
- Driver side rear door does not open from outside (Door handle). It does open from inside car.- Rear view mirror needs to be replaced. Washer fluid pump not working, could be fuse.- When engine warm, needs slight accelerationto start up since installed new EHA. Needs some engine adjustment (fuel pressure), but drives fine- Dent on left rear as in picture. Paint has wear and tear.-Tires are old but still have good tread.
Has failed smog before in California 'check engine' light was not working'. No time to fix. Selling due too many cars.
Sold as is. It will drive anywhere. Project car or daily driver.
