Up for bid is a magnificent and rare, early example of a Mercedes-Benz 450SLAMG Roadster.

The current owner is a career Mercedes mechanic who has ensured fast, road-hugging drivability.The enginestarts and runs strong.

The paint is a 9out of 10 with a light overspray during previous ownership. There area few small pebble-flecks and a couple of minor rust bubbles. The jack points and wheel wells are rust free .

The red leather interior includes Recaro seats and four-point harness belts that, by themselves, are worth nearly $2,000. The engine was tuned for optimal performance. The R107 did not see these performance numbers again until 1980 but in a heavier version of the R107.

Over the last forty-four years, her owners have babied her like the treasure she is, averaging fewer than 3,500 miles per year.
