THE 5 DIGIT ODOMETER SHOWS "05957" MILES. WE ASSUME THAT THE ODOMETER HAS TURNED ONCE AND THE CAR HAS "105957" MILES. THIS 6.3 WAS SOLD NEW BY "RALLYE MOTORS, INC. IN GLEN COVE, NEW YORK ON NOVEMBER 30, 1970. THE SECOND OWNER PURCHASED THE CAR ON JULY 24, 1982, MOVED TO GEORGIA AND KEPT IT SINCE.THIS MERCEDES BENZ WAS ALWAYS GARAGED AND NEVER DRIVEN DURING BAD WEATHER. WE ACQUIRED THIS CAR FROM AN ESTATE. THE BODY IS STRAIGHT AND HAS GREAT SHUT LINES. THERE IS NO RUST IN THE BODY PANELS, UNDER-CARRIAGE, BOTTOM OF THE DOORS, INNER AND OUTER SILLS, TRUNK AND THE FRAME. THE PAINT IS ORIGINAL FOR MOST PARTS AND LOOKS GREAT. ALL ORIGINAL CHROME AND MISC. TRIM ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. THE ORIGINAL LEATHER INTERIOR IS GLOVE SOFT WITH NO TEARS. THE INTERIOR COULD NOT GET ANY NICER FOR A 48 YEAR OLD CAR. THE ENGINE STARTS IMMEDIATELY EVERY TIME. IT RUNS SMOOTH, HAS GREAT OIL PRESSURE, RUNS COOL,DOES NOT SMOKE AND PERFORMS WELL. THE ORIGINAL BUMPERS, GRILL, DOOR HANDLES, HUBCAPS, AND MISC. TRIM ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. THE DRIVER'S SIDE VENT WINDOW IS SOMEHOW JAMMED AND WILL NOT CLOSE ALL THE WAY. WE HAVE LOCATED A USED BUT VERY NICE COMPLETE VENT WINDOW AND CHROME FRAME THAT WE INCLUDE IN THE TRANSACTION (SEE PHOTO). THE BODY PANELS, FLOORS, INNER AND OUTER SILLS, INNER FENDERS, TRUNK FLOOR AND THE FRAME ARE RUST-FREE. ALL GLASS AND LIGHT LENSES ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION EXCEPT THE WINDSHIELD HAS A LITTLE STAR THAT CAN BE REPAIRED. THIS CAR IS TRULY IN FANTASTIC AND NEAR ORIGINAL CONDITION. INTERIOR: THE ORIGINAL LEATHER SEAT COVERS ARE GLOVE SOFT AND WITHOUT ANY TEARS WITH MINOR WEAR. THE ORIGINAL DOOR PANELS, CARPETS, DASHBOARD ( NO CRACKS), INSTRUMENTS BEZELS, STEERING WHEEL ( NO CRACKS), AND HEADLINER ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. THE ORIGINAL ZEBRANO WOOD VENEERS ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH SOME LIGHT HAZING IN A FEW LOCATIONS BUT HARDLY NOTICEABLE. THE (4) PLASTIC HEATER CONTROLS ON THE DASH ARE NOT BROKEN (THEY ARE USUALLY BROKEN OR MISSING) AND MOVE WITH EASE. THE ORIGINAL INTERIOR OF THIS CAR COULD NOT LOOK ANY BETTER INDICATING A GARAGE KEPT VEHICLE. MECHANICAL; THE POWERFUL ENGINE STARTS IMMEDIATELY EVERY TIME. IT IDLES GREAT, HAS GREAT OIL PRESSURE, RUNS COOL, DOES NOT SMOKE, AND PERFORMS WELL. PLEASE VIEW THE PICTURE OF THE MAIN CLUSTER ( ONE OF THE PICTURES TOWARDS THE END OF MY LISTING) SHOWING THE ENGINE IS WARM AND RUNNING, OIL PRESSURE GAUGE IS PEGGED UP AND THE ENGINE TEMPERATURE IS JUST AT THE CORRECT OPERATING LEVEL. THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS GOOD. THERE IS A SMALL LEAK FROM TRANSMISSION SEAL. PERHAPS, THE SEAL IS DRIED OUT DUE TO THE CAR BEING PARKED FOR EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME. EASY REPAIR, NO BIG DEAL. THE BRAKES STOP THE CAR WELL. THE MOST IMPORTANT, THE SUSPENSION FUNCTIONS PROPERLY. THE SUSPENSION BELLOWS HOLD AIR BETWEEN 10 TO 12 DAYS. AFTER THE 9TH DAY THE FRONT SUSPENSION STARTS TO GRADUALLY GO DOWN AND THE REAR SUSPENSION FOLLOWS IN A FEW DAYS. THIS IS GREAT FOR A VEHICLE THAT HAS BEEN PARKED FOR EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME AND HAS OLD AIR BELLOWS. WE DO NOT HAVE ANY RECENT INVOICES REGARDING SERVICES PERFORMED ON THE SUSPENSION OR OTHER COMPONENTS. WE SUGGEST THAT THE NEW OWNER TO HAVE A COMPLETE SERVICE DONE ON THE CAR TO MAXIMIZE THE CRUISING ABILITY OF THIS AMAZING CAR. THE EXHAUST SYSTEM SOUNDS LIKE A 6.3. ONE OF THE CHROME TAILPIPE EXTENSIONS HAS A SMALL RUST SPOT. THE CAR RIDES SMOOTH ON A SET OF OLDER BLACK WALL TIRES WITH GOOD TREADS. HOWEVER, THIS CAR DESERVES A NEW SET OF WHITEWALL TIRES TO BE CORRECT. ELECTRICAL: ALL LIGHTS, GAUGES, TURN SIGNALS, POWER WINDOWS, WINDSHIELD WIPERS, HORN AND EVEN THE BECKER MEXICO RADIO WORKS. THE A/C FAN AND COMPRESSOR WORK BUT THE SYSTEM NEEDS TO BE CHARGED. THE DRIVER'S WINDOW GOES UP BUT STARTS SLIPPING WHEN IT GETS TO ABOUT 1" OF THE TOP OF FRAME. THIS INDICATES A BAD WINDOW REGULATOR. WE HAVE INCLUDED A NEW COMPLETE WINDOW REGULATOR STILL IN THE ORIGINAL PLASTIC WRAPPER IN THE TRANSACTION( SEE PHOTO). ENGINE COMPARTMENT: THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT IS NICELY DETAILED AND LOOKS ORIGINAL. TRUNK: THE TRUNK FLOOR AND THE TWO WELLS ON THE LEFT AND RIGHT SIDE ARE SOLID WITHOUT ANY SIGNS OF CORROSION. THE ORIGINAL RUBBER TRUNK MAT IS VERY DRY AND BRITTLE. WE DID NOT WANT TO MOVE IT TO TAKE SOME PHOTOS. THE TRUNK HOUSES THE SPARE TIRE, JACK, TOOLS, AND AN OLD CUSTOM CAR COVER.
