1985 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series Additional Info:
I purchased the car in Texas from a fellow Mercedes forum member in 2016. I Few to Texas and drove the car back to South Carolina, Then about a month later drove from South Carolina to New York, through Maine and back. Since then I’ve driven it throughout the Carolinas for work. I've put a total of about 14,000 miles on this car. This is a California car. It has spent time in California, Texas, and South Carolina. There is no rust on the car.
During my ownership I’ve replaced the following parts.
Water pump - Mercedes-Benz
Thermostat - Mercedes-Benz
Short Coolant hose - Mercedes-Benz
Adjusted Valves
Valve cover gasket - Mercedes-Benz
Fuel filter - Bosch
Fuel return lines - Mercedes-Benz
SLS fluid delivery line (tank to pump) - Mercedes-Benz
SLS fluid filter - Mercedes-Benz
SLS fluid - Melye
SLS Rod on leveling valve - Mercedes-Benz
SLS Coupler between line and strut - Mercedes-Benz
SLS Accumulators
Adjusted SLS suspension
Repaired A/C condensation drain hose in interior of vehicle. Yes, A/C works.
Two new Michelin tires in front.

Changed Transmission fluid.
Transmission filter - Mercedes-Benz
Transmission pan gasket - Mercedes-Benz
Rear sway bar end links - Mercedes-Benz
Replaced tail light bulbs with LED bulbs for better visibility
Rebuild Driver side Caliper - Mercedes-Benz
Replaced Front Struts - Bilstien
Replaced Motor Mounts - Lemforder
Replaced Transmission Mount - Lemforder
Went through vacuum system. it has Working locks, working shutoff, and shifting trans.
Compounded, polished, and sealed paint before photos were taken.
Detailed interior.
Probably more that I've forgotten about.
I have rear subframe bushings and a diff mount to be installed on the car also. These parts are Mercedes-Benz. Not that it’s not in immediate need of these items but just general maintenance that I had planned to do. It’s going to be warmer this week and I might get around to installing them. If not, they’ll be included with the sale. The car will have a fresh oil change for the new owner.
Known issues:
After startup, there is an audible clunk from the starter. I haven’t had the opportunity to diagnosis this yet. Its been doing it for the past couple months. The car always starts, just clunks afterwards. B
Passenger seat height adjustment doesn’t work smoothly. Included with sale is a replacement seat base.
Cruise control functions intermittently.
Hatch seal has been repaired with Silicone and is functioning as it should. Included with sale is a new hatch seal from Mercedes-Benz. The hatch seal is no longer available from the dealer. Dealer price for this part was $235.
32 year old Paint. See photos and walk around video. There are minor scratches and blemishes.
Driver side rear window goes up and down fine but clicks when all the way at the top of the track. Are there any W123’s that don’t do this?
Rear hatch doesn’t stay open when its below freezing. Included with sale are replacement hatch struts.

Though the photos and walk around video were taken a couple months ago the Wagon sits in my garage and the condition has not changed. The drive video was taken the day of the listing.
