The W123 chassis Mercedes Benz first hit the market in 1976 and was an overnight sensation. There were year long waiting lists and demand was so strong that used examples were more expensive than new models. The car represented the best of the company. Rock solid build quality safety innovation and prestige. Many consider the W123 to be one of the greatest cars ever made with nearly 3 million being produced when production ended in 1985. With five different bodies styles and a dozen engine choi...ces there was a model for everybody both private and commercial and the vast majority of W123's are still running around the world in the toughest conditions. GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this nice Arctic White example for your consideration. Overall this car is very nice with a solid straight body with just a few small chips here in there. Paint quality on these models was excellent and it still looks good today. A contrasting pinstripe runs down the side. The navy blue interior is in excellent shape and is very comfortable. The large well padded MBtex vinyl faux leather is in perfect shape and will probably outlive everyone. The wood trim is generally in good shape and some parts have minor clear coat cracks. The dashboard is crack free and is color matched. All of the features seem to work well including the power windows power locks heater radio and sunroof. The car sits on 14in classic "Bundt" wheels with nearly new tires. The car also has a new battery. The stock 3.0L I5 turbo diesel engine runs like a peach and is the most desirable of the W123 chassis. Very few things can go wrong with these engines and they can often run for 500k miles with no changes. The 4speed automatic is a willing partner and shifts smoothly. This car has been very well taken care of and has been owned by the same owner since 1985. According to the owner it has been garaged its whole life. If you are looking for a simple low maintenance tank look no further. These old Mercedes will last longer than we will.
