Up for your consideration is this NO RESERVE 1991 Mercedes Benz 500SL convertible. This beauty has 98000 (mostly highway) miles, but you'd never guess it from the superb condition it's in. Well maintained and taken care of............ this is one fun car to drive.

The 1991 is the first year of the newly designed SL series, replacing the 18 year run of the previous series (1973-1990). Also, this is the last of the SL series of Mercedes' that ended in those letters....(as in 1995, they would forever be called SL 500, not 500 SL)




As you can see, this fine car retains its classic MB styling, including the famed rear light grills on each side. Understated body panels of this series have come to be well liked by aficionados of this German masterpiece.





The automobile runs great, as the Fuel system and Fuel injection was recently replaced to get the fuel pressure up to specs. Great power and acceleration. The chassis components work nice too, from the steering, to the brakes, to the suspension. The A/C is cold and the heater is hot. Even the clock runs accurate after 26 years. The dashboard is not cracked and has been protected from the sun for many years by the dash cover.






"The good, the bad, and the ugly" of it all.............
The "good" is that the tires have been replaced with new ones last week! The front bra (2 pc set) is brand new. New Fuel system as stated previously.
The "bad" are these items that need attention. The power seat needs the worm gear that drives the seat forward. It does go back, so the motor is good. As it is now, with the seat fully back, its in a comfortable position for most people. The cigarette lighter does not heat or charge your device, but you can charge your IPhone or device from the USB port in the AM/FM/CD/Bluetooth Radio.
The "ugly" part is not really ugly, but I though I should give the buyer a "heads up" in that there are a few light scratches that have touch up paint. Not bad, as this is a 26 year old car. See pictures and you can see this is still a "looker".

All in all, you will see this MB 500SL has it all.......looks, power, and that flawless power top feature that converts your coupe into a road hugging convertible!
