1968 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series Coupe Additional Info:
I purchased this car on eBay 2 years ago and made the mistake of believing the seller description and looking at my pictures. The unscrupulous owner, out of Fort Lauderdale, misrepresented what became a $20K purchase from me. I have subsequently invested over $4.5K repairing wiring/electrical, front and rear brakes, ignition coil, spark plugs, adjusted valve clearances, points, and repaired an oil leak in the injector system.
This car is a European model 250 SE Automatic and was stated to have lived most of it's life in Northern Ca. The car was repainted in what I would call a driver quality right before my purchase. The black leather interior is original and not torn, but the threads have disintegrated in many areas. The wood is aged and should be replaced. The trim is fair to good with some parts scratched/dented. The factory sun roof is not functioning. The car runs and drives but the injector system needs attention. The car is otherwise a solid candidate for restoration. I simply don't have the time to complete this and am cutting my losses.
