Funny story - I bought the car so my son and his fiance could drive it away on their wedding day July 1, 2017. They did that, got some outstanding movies and photos that included the car - it was a great day! I included a couple photos from the wedding in this ad. These cars are well designed, the bride and groom flew down the freeway with the top down at 70 miles per hour for about 20 miles and the brides hair did not get messed up because of the great airflow diversion trait these cars have.
This Benz has been in West of USA it’s whole life. Very original. Some minor dings and scratches.
Engine had the dual overhead cam upgrade sometime during the original ownership. Runs out very well, smooth, no smoke, starts right up even after sitting for a month. Shifts smooth but needs some adjustment. I have a written Mercedes shop evaluation that was done about 600 miles ago that describes this and a few other recommendations. Automatic transmission. Brakes work well. Has a clean Oregon title good until 2018. The soft top has some wear and a small hole in each side window, see photos.I have the original hardtop that was not used much, very nice condition. The hard top (very heavy) has the original pulley system with small block and tackle for one person lifting the top while in the garage, then you tie it off to the cleat.
Floor panels solid. The only rust on the car is the small bubble on the left rear of the trunk lid, see photo. Chrome wheels have the typical corrosion from years of age. Spare wheel is not chrome and appears unused. Tires matching and in good shape. Lights all work except for a couple interior. Glass is in great shape. Some of the window rubber shows minimal ageing. Carpets are in great shape. The dash appears to have an aftermarket cover on it which is something I'm not familiar with, but it looks good. Release mechanisms for the hood and hard top work well. Doors open and close properly. Door windows, electric, roll up and down properly. Electric mirror on passenger side does not function. Aftermarket radio/CD works somewhat. The finish on some of the console wood is cracked from age. Glove box is nice. Front right turn signal lens is broken. Has original owner’s manual, and a Chilton shop manual (not the best but does have some useful info). Driver's door pouch is off the car but I still have it, drivers visor same. Comes with original tool bag and most tools (see photos). The trunk is very clean, and has original jack. Engine compartment is clean and looks to have all OEM components. Misc other parts and pieces come with the car.
There are photos of the professional shop inspection at 209,389 miles, about 600 miles ago. You can see what they found, some of which have been adjusted, lubricated or repaired.

Nada website lists the Low Retail Value at $13,400 with High Retail Value at $29,800. I would describe this car's conditioin in this category, except it is original and not a restoration.
Low Retail Value Nada description = “This vehicle would be in mechanically functional condition, needing only minor reconditioning. The exterior paint, trim and interior would show normal wear, needing only minor reconditioning. May also be a deteriorated restoration or a very poor amateur restoration. Most usable ‘as-is’. This column does not represent a ‘parts car’ or a non-running vehicle. Note: Some of the vehicles in this publication could be considered ‘Daily Drivers’ and are not valued as a classic vehicle. When determining a value for a daily driver, it is recommended that the subscriber use the low retail value.”
