I am the second owner. I purchased the car in Illinois in 2004 & drove it back to Canada, so it's originally an American vehicle. The speedometer shows both kilometers & miles like all Mercedes. The paint is new but all the body parts are original numbered parts. Mechanically the drive train is excellent & needs nothing. The front brake pads are getting low so I would recommend replacement. The cruise control did work for several years but since I rarely use it I have not bothered to see why it isn't working, same story with the air conditioning. It has been a real pleasure to drive since 2004 and I hate to sell it but I have no room left in my garage to store it for the Winter & I'm making another purchase.Due to our very strict Provincial government insurance program restrictions, they placed an "unfit" status on my car because it has not passed their "high safety standards". The front brake pads are below their thickness standard even though they work quietly & perfectly, even in panic stop mode. Also the 4 way flasher switch is a little finicky. Those are the 2 major reasons. If you are successful in winning the bidding I will gladly address these 2 problems to your satisfaction if need be!
I will accept Paypal payment of $2000 deposit. If you are an American buyer I can meet you with the car after purchase at Pembina North Dakota for transfer to you or your shipping agent. If you're a Canadian buyer the car can be physically viewed & if you're from out of Province I can drive it to your choice of shipping agent in Winnipeg or they can pick up at my home. Local buyers have the option of placing a deposit to reserve the car until financing is arranged.
