Up for auction is a 1971 Mercedes Benz 300SEL 6.3 liter car. The car is Black with Red leather. It has been with the current owner since around 2004. The car has been well maintained with regular use. It has been taken on many long-distance trips including to both coasts.
During the current ownership the car had been upgraded with a rear trunk mounted custom additional A/C unit. The A/C condensor had also been upgraded to a more efficient modern unit.
The previous owner owned the car for about 7 years. Star motors had performed a lot of restorations during that time.
The car was repainted black and a new German leather interior was installed. All of the wood was veneered in burled walnut and refinished. The air suspension was rebuilt with all rebuilt valves and has stayed 100% reliable. The exhaust was replaced with an all stainless steel system.
This car is a great driver quality car with some minor easilly fixed blemishes. The right rear 1/4 has a small area of rust, and the paint on the sunroof has some cracking. The steering box has been replaced wiith a rebuilt unit but sometimes seems heavy still. The engine appears to have some leakage at the rear main seal.
I reserve the right to end this auction early as this car is offered for sale locally.
