1967 Mercedes-Benz 250 SL -- Additional Info:
BECAUSE LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO DRIVE A BORING CAR!! The Classic Car Gallery 3266 Post Rd Southport, Ct 06890 203-446-3477 1967 Mercedes 250sl “Same owner since 1983, 55,585 miles, sympathetically restored, great driver.” Vin 203-446-34777876 The “113” body style was a big departure for Mercedes Benz. Previous SL models had been rounded and sleeker. The “113” body, also known as the Pagoda, featured a boxy and upright styling that quickly became beloved as evidenced by the fact that it ...was produced in various guises until 1989. Beginning in 1963 with the 230sl, the cars evolved with larger engine capacity, ultimately growing 2300 cc and finally culminating in 2800cc version in 1971. The 250sl was an interim model produced for only one model year, making the 250sl the rarest of all of the “113” bodied cars. The Classic Car Gallery is proud to offer this lovely 1967 Mercedes Benz 250SL. This car has been owned by the same gentleman since 1983 and has only traveled 55,585 miles. The car is a right hand drive model, originally purchased and imported in July of 1983 from a Mr John Kennedy of Kincardine, Scotland, its new owner was an enthusiast and the car has meticulous service and titling documentation since. It is an excellent driver quality car. The car received a photo documented sympathetic refresh in 2004 and remains in excellent condition. All rust was removed and professionally repaired and repainted. The original color as verified by its color identification plate is 462H Tunis Beige. The Tan leather seats were recovered, and the carpets are original. The original engine has been well maintained and starts and runs beautifully. It drives through a four-speed manual gearbox, which shifts as smoothly as any we have driven. The engine breaths through a TimeValve stainless steel exhaust. The black convertible top is in serviceable condition, but is a little rough around the edges; the top mechanism works as it should. The hardtop is in nice condition, and has rarely been used. The car has a Nakamichi stereo. These cars drives well, are smooth and reliable, and are appreciating in value. This car is a driver quality example of a Mercedes Benz 250sl.
