A Beautiful and Very Rare European model 1966 Mercedes 300SE Cabriolet with a 4-speed manual transmission and only 36,600 believed to be actual Kilometers or 22,700 miles. This W112 is one of only 193 4-speed Cabriolets ever produced in 1966. This particular 300SE was featured at the Mercedes-Benz Expo in Paris, rance in 1966. It spent most of its life in California thereafter until being brought and stored in Arkansas since 2006. It was brought to South Florida in September 2014 where it was thoroughly sorted and made the gem it is today.
The matching numbers M189 6-Cylinder engine runs smooth and powerful and the manual transmission shifts flawlessly through all gears. Recent services include a complete tune-up and oil change, ebuilt power steering and suspension pump, ew OEM Mercedes suspension air bags, ebuilt rear axle, ower steering gearbox, rakes, ie rods, ront shocks and much more.. It drives down the road smooth, ight and straight with no rattles or vibrations.
The laser straight body and paint are show quality. The Signal red paint was recently refinished to high standards and is jaw dropping. The chrome trim has been rechromed and shows as new. The bumpers are most likely original and show some light pitting and small dings but are very presentable. The Mercedes padded convertible top and headliner are about 10 years old and in very good condition.
The interior is as Beautiful as the exterior showing very minimal wear if any on the black leather seats and carpets. The door panels were just redone with new leather and look like wall art. The Zebrano wood was refinished and looks excellent as well. An original Becker Europa II looks and sounds great and has a brand new manual antenna.
The engine compartment, runk and undercarriage have been very nicely detailed and are ready to show.
