1966 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series Additional Info:
1966 Mercedes 230 4 door sedan with a floor shifted 4 speed manual transmission. The history I have is that this car was owned by one family in the Ojai California area up until late 2015,which explains why it is absolutely rust free!! I purchased it out of an antique gallery in Indiana and have kept it stored indoors since. It runs & drives but carburetors need some work because it sputters under load. The engine sounds great but does smoke a bit which is to be expected on a 50 year old car and the transmission goes in & out of all gears fine but the shift lever feels like it could use some tightening up. The body appears to have been repainted some time ago, its definitely not perfect but a very era appropriate paint job with some imperfections in the body but again,Totally Rust Free!! The interior is in good shape and it appears that the rugs have been replaced. Headliner is original & showing some signs of sun damage as is the rear deck (see pics) All in all its a great example of this vintage Benz, and with some work would be an excellent driver, or a perfect candidate for restoration due to rust free condition. Feel free to call with any questions. Thanks, Marc 508.951.1335
