1979 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class Additional Info:

Will be sold to highest bidder "as-is". NO RESERVE This is a Very solid, RUST FREE, Seems to be a garage kept car. Has 111,560 on the odometer, Interior overall is very nice, Front and rear seats and armrest are all NEW leather! Car is complete and assembled, running and driving. Body is in real good shape. NOT a perfect car, very rare color combo. Windows work great as does the sun roof. Car shifts very well. The previous owner was interrupted in the midst of a complete interior update and fell ill. All vacuum lines have bean replaced, heating system has bean updated with an electric unit conversion (a bit of tinkering needed). If you know these cars, then you know what this is and what it can be with a bit of tinkering. As far as I can tell, mechanically there is nothing really wrong with the car It drives smooth as silk. I would do a once over on the interior to make sure all screws and such are tight if it were me. There is no radio, the vacuum lines need to be shortened and properly roughed, they ARE properly installed now, not wire tied in place. The wood on the console was stripped for a refinish, in good shape. The dash has had cracks and has bean repaired, it is slightly visible. There is a dash cover that comes with. The vacuum actuators have bean replaced, comes with Many extra parts. The paint shows well. A good polish and wax would bring back all the original glory of this beautiful rare Black SLC. The wheels shown are POLISHED FORGED ALUMINUM not painted or chrome. Tires have great tread although they are few years old.
