1987 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series WAGON Additional Info:
A Rare Classic!!!! 1987 Mercedes Benz 300TD in very good condition with original paint. This wagon has the 6 cyl. diesel engine. I purchased this wagon in 2010 from a classic car dealer in south Florida. The dealer told me thatthis wagon was from the original owner'sestate and was offered for sale at an auto auction. Ihave all of the maintenance records/receipts (10K worth ) since I've owned the wagon. This wagon has been maintained properly and the repairs have been done as needed. 16" Continental tires with only 1K miles on them. Everything works with these exceptions; one headlight washer/wiper does not work, the glowplug and brake wear lights on dash do not light up. This wagon is rust free, although there is a small amount of corrosion on the pass side rear window aluminum trim. There are some acid rain areas on the windshield; it does not affect your vision. The air dam below the frontbumper has been replaced. The front and rear end have been gone through and repaired and aligned as needed. The transmission and rear differential have been resealed. The transmission occasionally shifts strong going into second; it's been like this since I've owned it. The rear differential has some slack in it; again it's been like this since I've owned it. The wagon is in great condition; it can be driven anywhere. It looks good and it rides as good or if not better than a lot of new vehicles, great fuel mileage too! The A/C has been upgraded properly and blows cold, the heater works good also. From what I understand, only 1000 of these wagons were shipped to the US. I'm selling this wagon because (and it's the only reason) I bought a motorhome and needed a 4x4 to tow, so I bought a Jeep. Believe me if I had a 3 car garage I would not even consider selling the wagon. All maintenance and repairs that have been done since I've owned the wagon, has been done by Intercontinental European Parts and Repair, Conroe, Texas. I have tried to describe this wagon accurately. The wagon has not been detailed; what you see is what you will get. I am open to fair offers. It's going to sell fast. This vehicle is being sold as is where is. Thanks for your interest. Good luck.
