1960 Mercedes-Benz 190-Series SL Additional Info:

You’re looking at an original 1960 Mercedes 190SL. Extremely nice driver quality car. When I bought the car from the second owner (NASA Rocket Scientist) it had sat for many years. Last recorded fuel up was 1995. I went through and did a minor tune-up, cleaned the fuel system, and rebuilt the fuel pump. It runs and drivers beautifully now.

This car is so original that it even comes with the original set of tires! Soft top is in really nice condition, frame is solid, vinyl is good. Everything appears to work as it should. Leather is really nice and has been maintained well. Please look at the pictures and ask questions. Floors are rock solid and the rubber is in fair condition.Carpets are clean and show well.

The paint has some superficial rust. It's fair at best but appears to be original to the car. The chrome has a clear coat over it... Not sure if that was factory. Some has come off and it shines easily in those spots. Maybe the rest will shine up as well? There are no signs of previous body repairs, welds appear to be present on the fenders and floor areas including the trunk.

Engine is very clean and runs well. There are no major leaks. Transmission shifts smoothly and doesn't grind. Clutch is strong. This is a great candidate for a daily drive or full restoration. I just don't have it in me to restore an original car like this. Vehicle has a hand written log book stating oil changes, fuel ups, and services with dates and mileage.

Please ask questions! I will answer quickly. The Reserve is set low, I plan on selling so ask questions. You can buy with confidence, if you come and are dissatisfiedwith the car, I will return your money! OPEN TO PORSCHE TRADES. Daddy needs a new race car :) Thanks, Jay.
