1986 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class SL Additional Info:
1986 Mercedes Benz 560SL. This is an excellent example of the rapidly increasing in price SL. The overall condition is extremely good, though I would call it a driver. Has a good stack of maintenance and repair receipts including transmission overhaul and HVAC system done through and working well, though in need of freon. Top is not brand new, but looks that good and is a replacement. Seats are soft and not brittle. Power options are working (windows, locks, antenna, cruise), Alpine stereo replaces the old OEM system. Tires have less than 2k miles on them, brakes work as they should, as does the steering, transmission, etc. Fires up on first crank, no hesitation issues. No leaks or rust on this car. Battery is just over a year old. Has all books (owners manual, tags, Maintenance Booklet) and even tool roll included. Miles are documented with OEM Maintenance booklet since new, though last 20K miles are documented with receipts not stamps in the book.
I love the color combination of the silver and red interior. Very rich IMO. Even with all the positives of this wonderful automobile, there are a couple flaws, though nothing major nor anything that would keep you from enjoying this car. The body, though original paint and rust free, has some scratches/chips that have been "repaired" with OEM touch up paint. Second flaw is the drivers side door lock does not always want to lock or unlock with the key. Passenger door does as does the trunk, so it locks and unlocks all doors. Finally, as you can see from the pictures, it has some dash cracks. Remember, it has been a southern car, so not unexpected.
