This well maintained Signal Red and black 560SL exemplifies the best of the 107-bodied roadsters produced from 1972 to 1989.
With only 55,779 original miles, this pampered roadster has accumulated an average of just over 1,900 miles per year and has been lovingly cared for by its current owner. The paint shows well and there is no evidence of rust or previous damage. Inspection with a paint meter shows consistent thickness on all panels. The wheels are free of rash and the 205/65 R15 Michelins look to have about 90% tread remaining.
There's a 3-ring binder containing receipts from previous owners' service plus recent services including new rear brake discs and pads, new timing chain tensioner, cam gears and a front subframe mount in June of 09. A new a/c compressor was installed in May of 2012. Everything works as designed.
An aftermarket radio has been fitted but the original Becker is included.
The matching Signal Red hardtop is included along with its stand and a new in-the-box hoist that can be fastened to the garage ceiling to easily remove and suspend the hardtop when not in use.
Interior seating surfaces feature trademark MB-Tex and show well with virtually no signs of wear. The dash is free of cracks and all gauges function accurately.
All books, tools, jack and spare are present and the CARFAX is clean.
