1990 Mazda MX-5 Miata MX-5 Additional Info:

For sale is a 1990 Mazda Miata MX-5 in IMMACULATE condition with sub-20,000 miles, for the discerning owner who wants to experience what it was like to drive this car when it first rolled out of the showroom 33 years ago.The car features a FULL service history (which is limited solely due to the rarity of drives in the vehicle that have taken place). Not only that, but the car includes ALL of the original paperwork from the dealership from the day it was purchased, including the original odometer verification showing 13 miles at the time of delivery to the first customer. This also includes all handwritten notes from the dealership, all manuals, warranties, and more. This car has sat in a garage for the past 4 years, and was allegedly in a garage at a vacation home for the 29 years before that. It has one previous owner who used it at a vacation house, never took the car out in rain, and averaged 500 miles per year on the vehicle. At the time of me purchasing it, the car had 14,000 miles at the time. I have since driven it almost 6,000 miles in the 4 years since, keeping up the same regiment of staying covered in a garage, never seeing rain, and driven just enough to keep everything happy mechanically. The car has received a full service of ALL fluids every two years, to ensure nothing corrodes, breaks down, or loses viscosity or lubricity. The AC has been converted to R-134A out of necessity, but aside from small issues replaced with Mazda OEM parts (clutch master cylinder, cupholders instead of ash tray (which I do still have), interior lights). This car is a low mileage, incredible example of exactly what the car must have been like when it first rolled off the showroom all those years ago.The car has ONE sole issue, which is the airbag module. This is an extremely common issue on early NA Miatas. The repair for this often comes at the need of removing the dashboard to access the module, and in order to preserve the integrity and finish of the interior, this service has not been done so as not to damage any of the original panels of the interior. This car comes with original antenna, soft top cover, and additional floor mats. The only imperfections on this car are bits of dust here and there from sitting dormant so much! This car received a polish and ceramic coating four years ago at the time of purchase. Some minor scratches are present, but even a waxing would take care of these. The next owner would also be advised to do a full ceramic coating if they would like to preserve the museum finish otherwise. The car has the odd tiny dent or knick here and there, but these are few and far between and are inevitable on any car, even garaged, over 33 years with no paintwork done. This car has no visible rust, and all components on the underside are still in fantastic shape. Even the rubbers of the suspension are still doing well.I am selling this vehicle to plan for the future and look at a down payment of a house. I LOVE this car and am just as happy for it to NOT sell, as it is a true gem that brings me happiness to drive beyond anything else. As such, this car is priced accordingly and I will not be upset if people (understandably) think it is a decently steep price. I am fine with keeping the car if it means waiting for the right owner who understands how special this example is, as I think it is only right to go to somebody who will appreciate this car at the same level as it has received for its life thus far.(Also, my girlfriend doesn't love riding in it because it 'blows her hair around a lot'. So this decision is 50% based on keeping her happy, but between you and me, I don't mind keeping the car and having her wear a hat ;)Please feel free to reach out with any and I mean ANY questions. I have FAR more pictures and videos I can share. The car resides in DFW, and I currently live in Austin, so please bear with me if some arrangements need to be made in order for me to show you the car.
