1986 Mazda RX-7 Additional Info:
Custom, clean build, lightweight, drag car. This car had a blower motor when in was raced on Street Outlaws Season 2 against Farm Truck and won, raced again in season 3 and he won. Copy/Paste video link: https://youtu.be/mr0jKYXl4_Y The car looks purple in the lighting on the TV Show, I did confirm with the previous owner that it was not repainted since the episode was filmed. 360CI SBC was built for the car by Tony at Diocars to replace the blower motor. New motor has less than 100 miles since the build. No dyno sheet but projected to be in the 450HP range. Cam spec: .510/.510 lift, duration @ .050 242/248, advertised 288/294, 112 LSA with a 108 centerline; solid flat tappet lifters, roller rockers, 4-bolt main high nickel block bored .030, steel standard crank, 6” forged I-beam rods, flat-top forged pistons at 10.7:1, 64CC Pro Comp aluminum heads with 2.02/1.60” valves, single-plane intake, just freshened up Holley 750 dp carb, A1000 fuel pump with AN fittings to carb from tank, new MSD coil, distributor, custom headers with 2.5” dual exhaust to Flow Master dual mufflers. New intake gaskets, water pump, alternator. Absolutely no fluid leaks. Aluminum rad, electric cooling fan, fuel cell, custom/clean wiring with a nice custom-made Plexiglas relay box, fuel shutoff switch in gas door, custom dash, battery box, line-lock, full cage, racing seats with harnesses, electric windows, 18” wheels with new Sumitomo tires on the front and drag radials on the back, 350 turbo trans with modulator and 3,000 stall converter. The 4:11 LSD rear diff is set up to handle 500RWHP and built by Rotary Engineering, KYB shocks all around, new bushings, new front and rear brake rotors, pads and master cylinder. The car still handles very well considering its new life as a drag car,(sway bars have been removed). The custom blue paint looks good, but it is no show car, (a little better than a Maaco paint job). Brake and tail lights work. I added backup lights and turn signals to keep the police off my back when I drove it. I also added nice aluminum door cards and replaced the rear hatch struts. Does not have wipers or the stock headlights which could be added back in. Does have custom driving lights. All the glass is good and the build is extremely clean. All the gauges work as well. The stock interior, dash, wiring, plumbing have been deleted. The scoop was also custom-made and is removable. I just changed the break-in oil with Valvoline 20-50 Racing Oil, cut the filter and there is no evidence of metal shavings, etc This car is a beast and will make for a good weekend drag car for someone looking for a turn-key, lightweight car for the strip or limited street. Let me know if you need any further info. Offered with a clean and clear PA Antique title. Title is clean but the Carfax does show at one point was rebuilt.
