2007 Mazda 3 - can be used for parts or Restored I didn't have the VIN handy

We purchased this car from a private seller and we did not realize that there would be a fair amount of work required to get it back on the road. It has a new engine with 140,000 miles on it but we have done no other work. We paid $1,500 and are only looking for a $900 return. We would also be willing to negotiate.
