1980 Mazda RX-7 1st Edition 1st Gen Additional Info:

This listing is for two (2) complete and very rare 1980 Mazda RX-7 cars! A perfect project for that special RX-7 enthusiast!
These 1979-1980 RX-7 1st Edition 1st Gen cars are becoming very collectible and very highly sought after and they are nearly impossible to find anymore. The sleek lines and more classic styling of these special years really set them apart from the other 1st Gens.

Here is the information:
Neither car is currently running.
The "Rusty" car (with the Kosei K1 Racing Wheels) is actually my old baby!!! I loved this car like no other; however, years of having no garage and sitting in the elements definitely took it's toll on the car. I meticulously maintained the car for years and spent thousands in performance upgrades and it was a very reliable, super handling, super fun and sporty daily driver for me for 20 years. So, about ten years ago I went out and found a great condition body 1980 silver RX-7, to basically perform a mechanicals (drivetrain, 5 spd manual transmission, engine) swap from my baby to this great body car.
Then in 2010....I had a child that had several severe medical issues at birth...and my life changed. All of my toys and projects and aspirations ended. I have been keeping the cars with hopes of following through on my plan; however, it is time to let them go to the right RX-7 enthusiast for their own project, before both cars rust away completely!
Please contact me with any specific questions you may have. I know everything about my car "Rusty"; however, the better body car was purchased only for the body, so I never saw it run/drive, but the 12A rotary is not locked up and rotates over alright.
I also have an insane amount of parts for these 1980's and 1st Gens that I would be willing to discuss with the RX-7 enthusiast that buys these cars.
Thank you for your interest in my RX-7's!
