1974 Mazda RX-3 Additional Info:
Here you have a very original, only 12K original miles, second owner time capsule RX-3. It took me decades to find this car. You will not find another RX-3 in this conditions for sale any time soon. I purchased this car in 2014 with only 9K original documented miles. It was all original untouched. Original exhaust, tires, ignition, even brakes, and suspension, etc. The original engine was not running at that time and had a busted break line. It had been sitting outside with a car cover for a couple of years which is how the paint fade spots and some rust spots appeared. I took it home, cleaned and rebuilt the carb, cleaned out the almost full gas tank, changed all fluids, plugs, fixed and replaced the brakes, etc and the engine fired right up and the car ran very nice. Unfortunately, the original tires had flat spots so had to be replaced. The exhaust was rusted so I replaced it a Racing Beat header and muffler which sounds very nice. The car had the Ziebart rust treatment which I sand blasted off from the undercarriage and painted with the original color code. There was absolutely NO rust repair or patches needed. Just POR-15 treatment and paint. The engine bay and trunk floor still has the rust treatment though. I did want to keep the original paint on the body intact as it still looks nice and I think it has more value that way. The body paint is all 100% original. It does have some dings, minor dents, and minor rust spots. The bumper rubber trims are not cracked or dried out and even show some original paint as well. The interior is 100% original with the exception of an engine coolant temp gauge I installed. I also replaced the points ignition with electronic RX7 ignition for reliability. I still have the original one though and will include with the car. It has Koni shocks all around and new bushings. This car drives like new, no leaks anywhere, no noises, no rattles, vibration, etc no issues what so ever. I'm sure I'm forgetting something, so I will update this ad and add more photos as I see necessary. The only reason I'm selling my dream car is because I have another dream car, a 93 RX7 and decided to try and let go of one. I am in no rush of selling it. So do not contact me to make low ball offers. I know what I have and enjoy every second I drive it or just look at it. No trades. If you know about these cars you know this car is a jewel and if you can don't let this opportunity slip away.
