1991 Mazda MX-5 Miata Additional Info:
One of the earliest turbo conversion Miatas out there. Corky Bell himself installed the turbo system in this vehicle for a personal friend of his in 1991. After I purchased the vehicle, I had it delivered to Corky in Texas and where he installed a new Begi fuel pressure regulator and went through the car to make sure everything was up to par. One of the photo shows Corky signing the car under the hood, and the other shows his signature. He gave me a copy of his signed book Maximum Boost, which I will let go with the car. Corky recommended a new suspension as it still had the original shocks, so I purchased and installed a Flyin Miata Stage 2.5 suspension kit, which was a terrific improvement. I just had a new soft-top installed. It does have a factory hardtop. The car has the stock 1.6 liter engine, and the car is stock with the exception of the Corky Bell turbo kit, Flyin Miata suspension, FM turbo exhaust, Hard Dog roll bar, and after-market radio. When I purchased the car it had a speaker box installed behind the front seats, which would not permit the seats to go back all the way. I took it out, so the radio at present does not work. I purchased the vehicle from it's second owner, who had owned the vehicle since 1998. Both prior owners were engineers and the car's maintenance has been well documented. The mileage is original and under 37K. The weather is unusually nice in Arkansas, so I might drive the car a little. I have turn signal air vents, which I took out and installed the factory turn signals and a few extra parts, including the suspension that was removed. The car is serviced and ready to drive anywhere. I drove the car from Austin Texas to Northwest Arkansas in the heat of the summer without issue. It is a great Miata and is a rolling piece of nostalgia. It has small dent in the drive's door, which I've tried to show. I just purchased a motorhome and plan on traveling, otherwise I would not be selling this great Miata. I've owned several Miatas, including a 1990 that I purchased with only 10K miles on it. This car is one of the best Miata's I've owned. Car has not been raced or abused. Please ask questions before bidding. I reserve the right to cancel this auction, or to cancel your bid if you have less than a positive 5 feedback score. If you wish to bid and don't have good feedback, you may wish to contact me first.
