Very happy to present an extremely clean and original 1983 Mazda RX-7 GS. This car, which was in garage storage for nearly 30 years, has just under 31,000 original miles. I am the second owner and have had the car for just over two years. Since that time I have spent over $4000 replacing the rubber suspension components, KYB shocks and struts ($900 alone), belts, brake master cylinder, clutch slave cylinder, radiator reconditioning, hoses, filters, all 4 tires plus refinished the wheels (Look incredible) and of course all fluids plus more. This car does not leak a drop and drives beautifully! You can feel confident driving this car anywhere. I have added about 2500 miles to the odometer in my time with the car including a trip of over 1000 miles bringing it home.
Fans of this original generation RX7 will know that the 1983 has the 12A engine which produced 100hp, along with a smooth shifting 5 speed transmission, plenty for the car’s 2500lb weight. Many feel that the 1983 also has a sportier and more mechanical feel inside than later, more plush 1984 and 85’s. And while many surviving RX7’s have been modified, this one has not at all, everything has been retained to original spec.
This car retains its original push button AM/FM Cassette, has power mirrors, excellent seats and carpet. Car was not ordered with air conditioning and in keeping with my desire to keep it stock, I have not added AC. Happy to answer any questions, selling because I have a restomod Ford coming into the garage and need the space. You won’t be disappointed with this car and how it drives. Car easily passed a recent and thorough California smog check.
