1992 Mazda MX-5 Miata Basic Additional Info:
Died 50 miles from home, driving up a not-too-steep S.F. street when it just wouldn't go, even though engine was running. After several attempts that day to restart, it belched some smoke, and that was enough for me - have not tried starting again for fear of causing more damage.
5-speed with good clutch
Aftermarket cruise control
Cold AC (recharged with Freon R-12 when I bought it)
Small ripples in the body and various small dings repaired poorly with matched red paint
Driver's window needs greasing (did this when I bought it, needs it again...)
Radio/CD player takes external input, but sometimes acts up, so there is a spare included
Flushed the radiator for rust and there's *still* more in the fluid!
Some moldiness in the trunk from the winter
Sealed lead-acid battery replaced the big OEM version
Chrome roll-bar is not just for show - heavy enough to handle a roll-over
New Hankook Ventus V2 tires and Koenig Helium 15" rims (the lightest I could afford) with only a few hundred miles (the OEM wheels with old tires are still here, if you want them)
Passed smog 3mo ago (Smog Chek 2 is fairly strict)
A white hardtop is included (it needs glass to be remounted - window is intact but heat loosened the original molding and I pulled it out to prevent surprises. You can see black stains on the top from that melted molding).
If interested buyers do not want the hardtop, I will relist cheaper, and even cheaper if the new tires and rims are not wanted. Just let me know
