1984 Maserati Quattroporte Leather Additional Info:

I am the third owner of this amazing Maserati Quattroporte III. I've been an active collector of Maserati GT cars since 1985 and I am very reluctantly offering this Q-Porte for sale as I reduce the size of my collection. I purchased this car in 2014 along with an equally impeccable Bora from the Estate of John Nakashian - a fellow Maserati aficionado and perfectionist extraordinaire. John acquired the car in 1990 with just 15,8884 miles on it from the original owner, Gerald Vergallito.
This car was John's pride and joy and he used it sparingly and he spared no expense in taking care of it. When the clear-coat began to fail, he had the car re-painted by a first-rate shop (Kinney's Auto Body in Nicholasville, KY). When the engine developed some oil leaks, John sent the car to Evans Automotive in Columbus, OH ( http://www.evansauto.com/ ) where they performed a comprehensive engine and transmission rebuild while making sure to leave all of the original features intact including the original emission controls (very important for potential California Buyers).
A complete set of service records and documentation is included detailing the work performed on the car while under John's care. The engine and transmission work alone was over $25k. The car runs and drive as new. The interior is of course original and in excellent condition with just the right amount of "lived-in" look as you'd expect from such a well cared for car.
The wheels were powder-coated and the tires are as-new.
The car has its original tool kit and jack. The original window sticker, factory literature, and Service Manual is included. A set of MIE reproduction Owners' Manuals is also included.
When I purchased the car, the only issue with it was the headliner glue had failed and it was sagging - we re-glued the original material back into place. Other than the headline repair, In the time that I have owned this car, I've had to do nothing to it other than drive it occasionally. It always starts and runs great, all of the components operate properly.

Very few of these cars were cared for as this one has been and the condition alone makes this a very rare and unique opportunity for the discerning collector. The only one of these that I have heard of that was even close to the condition/value of this car is this one that sold at a Bonhams Auction in 2016:http://www.bonhams.com/auctions/23513/lot/23/
i would not hesitate getting in this car and driving it across country - or, I'm happy to assist in loading the car on a transporter or delivering it to a nearby Customs Broker for export
I encourage prospective buyers to contact me with any questions or to arrange to view and inspect the car. We are located very near O'Hare airport. Robert Lederer 630-417-2876
