For sale1988 Lotus Esprit SE is powered by a 350ci V8 that was installed under prior ownership. The car previously resided in Florida and I bought it in last year from the estate auction. So unfortunately I do not have any prior background info but what I’m describing here. A repaint in red was performed about a year ago, and the car features a tan leather interior, a period Alpine cassette deck, and factory staggered 15″ front and 16″ rear wheels. Recent services include the fitment of a new tachometer, alternator, and shifter cables, as well as a tune-up in February 2020.Car was repainted in red by the prior owner about a year ago. Gold Lotus graphics have been applied to the lower bodywork and upper windscreen. SE bodywork includes revised side skirts and a front bumper with five cutouts, and the dual-outlet exhaust exits through the lower rear valance. T-top
Factory 15″ front and 16″ rear wheels are mounted with Hankook Ventus V12 Concept 2 tires measuring 205/50 up front and 245/50 out back. The car is equipped with outboard rear brakes, and the independent suspension features upper A-arms and lower lateral links at the front and a trailing arm setup at the rear.
The cabin is upholstered in tan leather with black surfaces on the upper dash and instrument binnacle. Tan carpets are protected by a set of black mats with red Lotus logos and edging. Air conditioning system is present but has not been hooked up.
A factory three-spoke steering wheel fronts VDO instrumentation that includes a 170-mph speedometer, a replacement 7k-rpm tachometer (done in February of this year) an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and oil temperature. Fuel gauge reads inaccurately below 1/4 tank. The odometer was reset after the engine swap..
The original Type 910 inline-four was replaced with a GM-sourced 350ci V8 by a prior owner in the mid-1990s. The engine is fitted with an aluminum intake manifold, a four-barrel carburetor, headers, and heat-wrapped midpipes exiting through dual mufflers. Transmission shift cables were replaced in February 2020, and that the car also received a new alternator and a general tune-up at that time.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Renault UN-1 five-speed manual transaxle.

This is no reserve auction, so please bid to owe not to play. It does cost money.
