1978 Lotus Other Elite 503 Additional Info:

This is a 1978 Lotus Elite 503. This is a rare and great project car. This is sold as a Project Car with odometer reading 21390. This old 1978 Lotus may look very clean, however, the running condition is unknown, it needs a lot of work. Model-wise it's a 1978 503 Elite (the earlier Type 75), of which 2,535 were built from 1974 to 1982.
It has been garaged for the past 3 years. It's a project I had been meaning to have worked on, but just never had the time. The red exterior is a repaint, the original color appears to be blue.The red paint is in good condition. It's made of fiberglass which doesn't rust. The lotus emblems are held together in the front by tape. The "S" piece from "Lotus" on the trunk has fallen off but is still with the car. The side mirrors are still in good working condition. The front bumper has been dismantled. All tires will need to be replaced. The interior seating is in good condition, will need to be cleaned. The flooring and underside into the front will need work. There are parts in the trunk that cannot be identified. The battery is believed to be locked in the trunk along with other mechanical parts. The trunk is controlled electrically, it will need to be able to run in order to access the trunk. The car is not running and not driving.
