I will be happy to answer any questions. Just email them. I also encourage the prospective buyers to view the car first if possible? Or have someone look at it for you. I want buyers to make their own determination as to the value of the car to them via an in person inspection if possible? I try to disclose any and all defects in cars but opinions very so please look at photos and ask questions. Assume nothing.
This caris a Very Good Candidate for restoration. Barn Find always been stored indoors. Very Solid Project Car to Restore or Customize. Body lines are Straight.
Interior:Seats in car are original but have been recently recovered in a 2 tone white and candy red by previous owner. Restoration/ custom coloring was started but never finished. Before starting work on this car, it was a solid driver condition Lincoln that runs great. No issues with it but owner wanted to pimp it out. That never was finished. I recommend painting back to either the original color or Black. Original color is Palomar Blue( Robin egg blue) with Aqua Leather interior. Seats can be cleaned up and used as is. Just need to re-assemble front seats. They were never used since being recovered.
Dash pad does have the typical crack by speaker.
As you can see from the photos, the interior carpet is out and the floors are in good condition. Driver-side does have some rust and a few thin spots but looks to be easy fix.
Exterior:
As I stated earlier, restoration was started some years back. Previous owner had Candy apple red paint started in door jabs and under hood and trunk. Remainder of car is in primer. Some evidence of previous body work in the rear quarters but appears to be minimal. Looking down sides of the car, it appears to be very straight. Underside has some surface rust but we did not see any rust thru.
Overall a great candidate to restore that does not need much to be ready for color.
Engine:
This car starts right up easily and runs very strong. Motor sounds great and has plenty of power. Transmission shifts smoothly into all gears. Power steering works. Even the exhaust sounds great with no exhaust leaks. Purrs like a kitten.
Mechanically very sound. No electrical draws either. Car was stored all winter indoors with battery connected. When we went to start it this spring, she fired right up!
Air cleaner etc are all present and will go with the car with All other loose pieces.
Windows
Windows worked last year when we plugged a switch into them to test. Currently door panels are off and therefore switches are off as well.
Note: This car is a project and as far as we can tell ALL parts to re-assemble + a few extra pieces are here. Everything goes with Car. We cannot guarantee its 100% there but sure looks like it.
ALL loose parts will be carefully packaged into the trunk etc. for shipping. We will try our best to get everything in the car carefully for shipping.
CONVERTIBLE TOP:
Top frame is rust free and in good condition. Top worked when stored 4 years ago. Some items have been disconnected to due to the start of restoration. Top material will need recovered as well.
SUMMARY…A Great Running clean straight bodied Slab side Lincoln Convertible Ready for Restoration. This car was in line to restore at our shop but too many others and limited space force the sale.
I have tried to be very detailed and describe all I know about car. Email questions. Thanks!
