1977 Lincoln Mark Series

Selling my fantastic Lincoln Mark V. This was the most popular generation of the Mark series. Timeless in it's design and superior to any Cadillac of the 1970's. It has the legendary 460 (7.5L) engine with plenty of power and reliability. Unlike many gaudy 70's colors, this Mark V is a distinguished metallic midnight blue color, that's still classy in today's muted-color era. It has the top option turbine wheels with PLENTY of life on the nearly new tires. Vinyl roof is excellent. Original dash (no cracks). Suspension is smooth and does not sag, so guessing it was replaced in the last few years. Full size spare included, in addition to the OEM donut spare.
The big, carbureted engine cranks up every time and runs whisper quiet. Cruise control works! Power antenna works! Clock works! Headlight doors work! Texas registers everything over 40 years old as "odometer exempt" but all of these gadgets still working make me believe that 33,544 is the original mileage and odometer has not rolled over.
This car is not new, not showroom and not perfect. But it's in very good shape for a car almost 50 years old.
1. Some touch up paint needed here and there.
2. Horn doesn't work (new one in box included).
3. Passenger window does not go down. I can hear the motor activating, so a decent shop will need to realign it to operate smoothly.
4. Needs a new Hydro Boost for the brake system. The car stops fine, but that booster needs fixing.
5. AC could use a recharge
These are all pretty simple repairs for any good mechanic (which I am not ). So I am knocking $1,000 off what I paid for this beauty last year.
I love this car and hate to sell it. But I've recently had a death in the family, and my obligations have increased significantly. I don't have the time for guy-toys that I used to, and I hate to see any car this nice sit there un-used. It needs to be driven and needs to be enjoyed.
