1963 Lincoln Continental Convertible… California Car.built in LA in 1963 and remained there as far as I know till it was shipped in to NJ about 5 years or so ago.Ive never driven or even had a ride in it.That said,i started it up in the garage.It comes to life instantly with no strange noises or smoke and idles well.It goes into gear instantly.and feels tight.
What i observe needs attention. The power steering has a leak onto the floor of the garage.The power top worked fine last fall.now the deck lid opens and the top starts to rise about a foot and then pump runs and the top barely moves.Seems like a low fluid symptom but I do not know.So the top is down.The A/C compressor is not on the car.The blower fan for heater A/C does not come on,im told the speedometer works but the odometer does not.The odometer reads about 99,000 miles.All the windows went up and down.The power seat went up and down but i could not get it to go back and forth.All the lights seemed to work.The brakes seemed grabby.....could be from sitting in the garage pretty much unused the last 5 years.The car has had one repaint and a new top installed .I could not find any sign of rust or rust repair and the car is laser straight.There are a few blemishes here and there.The tires look to be vintage bias ply......at least thats what they appear to be.Clear clean NJ title in my friends name...the car is in his garage in Jackson NJ
.Pre purchase inspection is a must....this is NOT my car...Put a little money in this car and youll have a really nice .great color combo unique car..The owner is motivated to sell.but not desperate at all...ridiculous offers will not be answered.Deposit is non refundable and due right at close of listing...Please no non sense as is so common these days.Car is sold as is where is ...we will help any way we can.
