Very rare car!Lincoln was known for offering designer editions of their cars starting in the middle 70s with the bill blass, Cartier, givenchy, and Emilio pucci editions. In 1983 they added Valentino to their lineup. From 83-85 and it is estimated that between1500-3000Valentino continentals were built per year. Each year had its own color scheme with the black and gold offering the most striking color combo of the three. Bill blass and Versace editions were offered exclusively for the mark vii. The givenchy was the more common designer edition of the Continental offered from 82-87.
Very few of these were offered with sunroofs and only a handful remain, especially in this condition. Unique interior and badging distinguish the special edition from regular continentals of the time.
With the recent passing of the Valentino Garavani, it is believed that the Continental and a few Alfa Romeos were the only cars ever built for the public with his brand recognition.
A recent sale at Barrett Jackson shows that a suicide door Continental rest mod sold for over a million dollars. What better way to get into the collector car space or add to your current collection than this unique Continental.
You will pay more than $12500 for certain Valentino apparel and only wear it a few times. You can get a little more use out of this Valentino continental!
It will also cost you way more to restore a remaining example if you can even find one!
Perfect for the car collector or fashionista!
Would make a great tribute to a fashion shoot!
Driver side fender has a few blemishes on the top on the black paint not really noticeable unless you are up close. It is a 41 year old car and probably the nicest bustleback continental left!
