1942 Lincoln Continental Additional Info:

As presented, a rare 1942 Lincoln Continental Coupe. Only 200 made as production stopped in January 1942 due to World War II.Only 533 miles since total restoration. a V12 305 engine and a 3 speed manual transmission. It has automatic overdrive. Power windows (hydraulic) that work! Good rubber and quiet exhaust.
This Lincoln was restored decades ago to show condition. It has won the prestigious National award from the Collector Car Club of America. It has the badge to prove it! It has also been awarded the Ford Company Award as a Benchmark Example of a 1942 Lincoln Continental. This car was previously part of the esteemed Beardslee Collection.
The photos show the car well. They were all taken November of last year before I put the car into storage. The Continental remains in storage today. It starts, runs, drives and stops well.
Prior to my purchase, this car was owned by a car collector in Florida who owned a chain of auto parts stores. He put less than 100 miles on this car. Upon his passing he willed his dear friend (a former Miami Dolphin) the choice of any car in his collection and the friend chose this one. I purchased the car from him.
Being an older restoration, I believe it to be in relatively the same condition as purchased in 2015 as it was stored in a climate controlled warehouse. It appears to have some of the general aging/wear issues also disclosed in the 2012 and 2015 sales, some cracks in paint (enamel) and some headliner stain and small holes. The radio does not work and I cannot open the truck with key. You can google the Bonham Auctions and Charvet Classic Cars for verification if you like.
Sales History: This Continental sold for $37,500 in 2015 by Charvet Classic Cars in Lake Oswego Oregon (bill of sale in file). It sold for $25,740 in 2012 by Bonham auctions (google it). The car comes with a clean title using the body 26H579 as the VIN (as required). The chassis number of the Continental is H1297974.
The new owner is required to make a $500 non-refundable deposit within 24 hours of sale and a bank wire transfer for the remaining balance to be received within 3 days of sale. I ask the car be picked up within 14 days of sale or a $10 storage fee daily will be charged. If you need any special arrangements please don't make an offer to purchase unless they are agreed to. The car is sold strictly 'as is' without any warranty express or implied. All inspections must be performed prior to offer to purchase.
