Time to own an original piece of American automotive history and also a piece of true Americana. For sale is a 1961 Lincoln Continental Convertible. Yes it has the "suicide doors."
This is a mostly original car. The wheels are 15" instead of the original 14" rims. There has also been some work done on the window relays and to the convertible top. The windows work and so does the top but they do not work in their original function (some of the relays will need to be replaced to function properly). This car will also need some brake work in order for it to be safe enough to drive around town but the car will drive down the highway just fine at 70 mph. The seats were originally leather but have been replaced with vinyl prior to my purchasing the car. It has a new rebuilt water pump and I have the original as well (the core is worth several hundred dollars).
This is a rare car with AC option and FACTORY seat belts! Power windows, power locks, power front bench seat. The radio in the car works. The body is in good shape but there is some surface rust here and there. All of the chrome is in good shape! Glass is all in good shape.
The odometer says it has around 50000 miles but I cannot verify that mileage is actual. Clean title in hand.
The car is being sold locally so I reserve the right to end the sale at any time. I have a lot more pictures and can take more as well. The car is being sold AS IS WHERE IS. I've tried to describe the car as best as I can but I am not a mechanic. I drove the car recently but the brakes need to be worked on before it would be safe to take for a long drive.
I can assist a little with shipping. If you plan to ship the car it can be picked up at my house by a full size tractor trailer. The car has been stored inside since I purchased the car about 6 years ago.
