Previously known as a top-of-the-line trim package for the Lincoln Continental, the Town Car became its own standalone model in 1980. The Town Car quickly became Lincolns flagship model and was considered the best-chauffeured vehicle due to its comfortable, spacious interior and amazingly quiet ride. Offering elegance and luxury, the Lincoln Town Car became America's ultimate luxury sedan and one of the largest constructed passenger vehicles ever. It has seen 3 generations of production starting in 1980 and ending in 2011. Moderate changes were made over the years and Lincoln continually improved and utilized the latest technology for driver safety and convenience. Lincolns 2nd generation Town Car debuted for sales with the 1990 model that saw a redesign inside and out that showcased a new modern aerodynamic look along with new safety and luxury features including self-leveling air ride suspension, keyless entry, and dual front airbags. This model would earn Motor Trend Car of the Year for the first time ever for a large full-size sedan and boost Lincolns sales for a record-breaking year. Lincoln Town Cars will forever be remembered as one of Americas most iconic luxury sedans with a history of being an executive chauffer car. There has been no direct replacement for the Town Car, but Lincoln has continued to make the Continental, so it is still a possibility for a future Town Car trim package if nothing else. Offered here is a one-owner 1990 Lincoln Town Car Signature Series Sedan finished in Midnight Black with Light Titanium leather interior with the rare factory added option of a Black canvas cloth top. Powering this smooth cruising Lincoln is its 5.0 Liter V8 engine producing 150 horsepower and 270 lb-ft torque mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission. Lincolns mid-tier trim level, the Signature Series, features many added features as this Town Car showcases automatic climate control air conditioning, canvas cloth top with moonroof, power adjustable front seating with memory, power windows & door locks, power & heated side mirrors, dimming rearview mirror, AM/FM cassette player with JBL audio speakers, cruise control, digital dash instrumentation, tilt steering wheel, wood trim, and 4 brand new 215/70R15 Ironman whitewall tires. This is a very clean, one-owner vehicle that has been wonderfully taken care of with only 40,300 miles! Recently serviced by our museum with 4 new tires installed, new air filter along with engine oil & oil filter change, and replacement front shocks. Included with this garage kept vehicle is the spare tire and jack equipment, original owner's manual, operating info manual, clean CarFax report, and original warranty ID card.
