1979 Lincoln Continental Additional Info:
Selling my 79 Lincoln. It got hit at the back while standing on the shoulder for changing the tire. I have been an owner for almost a year and during all this time it was my only car(in fact this is my first car) that was my daily driver. I currently switched to 2000 Town Car and ready to let my 79 go to someone who will restore it. I received compensation for the car from the insurance, but the insurance did not give me the guaranty what will happen to car. So this is why I decided to get the compensation from the insurance with a price cut to be able to make sure it will not go to crusher. I would also appreciate a photos of the car being restored and not parted out.
Regarding the issues known to me before the accident:
When you make a sharp and fast turn, sometimes electric systems shuts down(no radio, no power windows etc.). From what I recall it does not effect the driving itself; you will just not be able to open the window and etc. Also AC is not working but blower is working. I also have been instructed not to use AC since it could damage the fuse as far as I remember.
Also when the car was brought to me after the accident(from the yard where the cars waiting for inspection by insurance), It seems that trailer was a bit too short for the car and when the person who brought it to me was driving it down from the trailer, I heard some scratching noise. Maybe it's just exhaust pipe hit the asphalt maybe something else at the back of the car. Also currently the left back door is jammed. All other doors could be opened and closed. Unfortunately, I did not check what else is not working after the accident. Also when the car got hit, I was in the shotgun seat and the seat rotated back. I rotated it into the current position by hand. Right front tire still need to be replaced. Also bumper jack was attached and car was lifted when it got hit. So the bumper jack collapsed. Don't know if it affected anything underneath the car. Also due to the hit there are some misalignments between body and the doors. Visible on photos.
Important note: car is still drivable! It was driven to my garage from the trailer.
Two pictures of the car next to the Lincoln dealership(front and back) taken two days before the accident. Picture of the front of the car is how it looks like pretty much at the current stage since crash did not really affect how it looks like from that angle. Minus dust on the body. Price of the listing is pretty much the difference of what I bought it for and the amount of money insurance paid me for the compensation + repairs during the time I owned it.
