1979 Lincoln Continental Mark V Cartier Additional Info:

1979 Lincoln Mark V Cartier Edition with 28,330 original miles. One of 9,470 Cartier Edition Mark V's produced in 1979.
Nearly 100% original. Texas car, rock solid.Excellent original survivor - not an immaculate museum piece, but definitely show-worthy and mechanically sound.
I am the 3rd registered owner, and it was a one-family-owned car prior to me purchasing it. There was the original owner who died in the early 80s, then her daughter, and then me. I know the complete history of the car. I have some documentation on the mileage as well as a binder of receipts going back decades.
A/C works great (converted to r134a), cruise control, all gauges, power windows, power locks, power seats, AM/FM radio and CB radio are all working as they should.
The Hideaway Headlights work perfectly, and stay down for months at a time!
Three items do not work:1. Miles to Empty - needs sender. Gas gauge works fine.2. Cartier clock - can be repaired by any watch/clock repair shop.3. Power antenna - this technically works, but it slips/doesn't go up smoothly.
I have owned the car for 18 months, and I have personally driven it about 3,000 miles in that time.Since I have owned it, I had new tires put on, full tune-up (plugs/wires/cap/rotor/coil, coolant flush, oil change, etc), and I had the carb professionally rebuilt.
The car is in excellent shape mechanically, and is rust-free! Only some very light surface corrosion underneath is present.
There is a small oil leak from the drain plug. I had a copper gasket that eliminated the leak entirely, but I misplaced it when I changed the oil last. Other than that there are no leaks!
I can provide documentation on the mileage in the form of service records and Texas smog certificates. Additionally, there are chalk markings on the inside of the passenger-side wheel well. These markings would not exist on a higher-mileage car, or on one that was driven frequently in the rain.
Selling because I have other classic cars and I need to thin the herd.I would be happy to work with a buyer's shipping company, but I cannot arrange shipping myself.
