I’m selling a really nice numbers matching 52 year old Lincoln I recently found in a barn (real story, see picture). The car has just 52,971 original miles. I am the 4th owner and have spoken with #3 (when I bought the car) and #1 to verify the likelihood of this mileage. This car is loaded with options, but electrical issues (likely from bad grounds and mice) make it so many of the components are not working properly. The Ford 7.5L 460V8 is running and the transmission is shifting between gears. The brakes don’t work as there is a leak in at least one line. The leather interior is dry rotten and has many cracks, but the springs and frames are in good shape. The dash cover is cracked, antenna broken (power motor appears to be working fromthe sound of it), power windows are not currently working nor are the door locks. Lights and turn signals are working surprisingly as are the wipers albeit inconsistently. The car has a new 1000 CCA battery, ignition coil, sparkplugs, points/condenser, and a couple other various small things to get it running well. It had not been running for many years prior to me getting it going. The tires are old, and weather checked but hold air. The hub caps aredented, but presentable. This car is very solid overall. The leather top is peeling back, but I would expect to paint the top when repainting the body. It does have rust on the outer rear fenders and a few other small spots, bubbles in the paint on the hood and along the top surfaces. I think this is due to a poor paint job many years ago. The undercarriage appears rather solid as does the engine compartment and the truck is solid all around with no rust. I removed the dingy and mouse urine soaks trunk pad and backing to expose a completely rust free truck. Door frames, rocker panels and most of the body panels appear nice and straight. Carpet is decent without a ton of wear due to a lack of use, but the seat covers areshot.

I am the fourth owner of this car. The first owner lived in Massachusetts and had the car for 20 years, second owner had the car in Massachusetts for about 15 years before it was brought to Vermont and spent the remainder of its time doing short drives and finally stored for the past 14 years inside a barn.

This is a very solid car as seen in the pictures. The car does have some bubbling paint on the hood and top of the fenders but there is no sign the rust goes through any metal or anything beyond surface rust on the frame. I have shown an abundance of pictures to demonstrate the typical trouble spots (fends, rocker panels, door jams, shock towers, trunk, etc.). When I bought this car, it was not running and had no brakes. The car is now running and will shift between gears but will need all new brakes and lines as there is a leak and the pedal goes to the floor. I am just a typical handy guy who grew up around cars and was planning on doing a more elaborate rebuild of this car, but I’ve had to close my business for the indefinite future and lost my garage space. So my dad/daughter project will have to wait for a while. This is a great candidate for a ride and drive or full overhaul.
