1979 Lincoln Mark Series Bill Blass Additional Info:
Up for auction is a gorgeous 1979 Mark V Bill Blass edition. With it's nautical blue and white theme, this is one of the most beautiful Mark Vs produced. This car is a true survivor, with only 28,800 miles on the odometer. I truly believe this to be the actual miles. Just look at the photos. This car has its original paint, top, and interior. It's in remarkable condition for its age. This car is a joy to drive and I love driving it. In fact, I recently had to go on a business trip out of town, and drove this car instead of my company car. The old cliche is true - I'd drive this car to California in a heart beat, and I live in Missouri. Pump the gas twice, and the car fires right up and settles into a high idle. It drives perfectly going down the road, and going in high style at that. I've had ALL the fluids changed, new belts and hoses, tune-up, rotors resurfaced and wheel bearings packed. I'll be glad to give you the invoices for those services at time of sale. All the options work (except for the clock, of course) and the doors shut easily with a bank-vault thunk. No slamming necessary. I have not used the 8-track or CB, but they do have power. The seats are as comfortable as your living room couch and have power on both sides. The headlight doors work perfectly. The tires are new with less than 1000 miles on them. This car floats down the road. You hear the bumps, you don't feel them. I could go on and on about this car and what a joy it is. But I have my eye on a Toronado. I have 4 Lincolns and no Toronado, so this is the Lincoln that needs to go to make room. I hope the Toronado is as nice as this Lincoln. Now, I won't tell you the car is perfect. It's 40 years old, after all. There are some imperfections in the paint, as you would expect with a 40 year-old car. No dents and no scratches, just a few chips. There are no tears in the leather upholstery or top, just very light wear. The dash is perfect. All the glass is good except there is an abrasion in the windshield as shown in one of the photos. I seldom notice it. All in all, this is an incredible time capsule and a gorgeous car.If you have any questions, please ask. The car is located in Springfield, MO, and your inspection is welcome. Please don't bid if you don't intend to pay. I'm really getting tired of eBay scammers. This is my personal car, it is not part of a dealer's inventory.
