This 1960 Lincoln Continental Mark V Convertible is one of an estimated 300 left in existence. They are known as the forgotten Continentals because of their unique unibody construction and rarity. Stretching almost 19 ft, these 6000 lb masterpieces are powered by a 430 cu in engine with a 3 speed automatic transmission. They were created with all the conveniences like power seats, power windows, power vent windows, power door locks, Air Conditioning, Power Convertible top that latches itself and eventhe rear power window facing the trunk rolls down(its called a Breezeway window).
This 1960 Lincoln Continental Mark V Convertible has been cosmetically and mechanically restored that includes motor(10000 miles), transmission rebuilt(500 miles) paint(3 years), interior(3 years), new top (2 years), brakes(3 years), new tires(1 year) with less than 100 miles on them, new exhaust, new windshield and driver and passenger door glass. Many misc. rubbers, window motors and switches and some chrome pieces. There are minimal paint chips but a few and the chrome is in very good shape but not perfect. Car runs, drives and stops great. The AC has all of its parts and is completely assembled but has not been recharged yet(still R12).
I have been downsizing my collection and my lifeand am down to my last 4, so I have been holding on to this one as long as I could and hate to see it go but once my home sells, I will no longer have the garage space I have now. I am looking for a good home for her and preferably someone who loves tinkering.
