1978 Lincoln Mark Series Mark V Additional Info:

Beautiful Mark V, with original miles, fantastic running 460, smooth shifting C-6 auto, runs and drives very nice, as it should. It's a very solid car, never been up north, never sat by the ocean. The air worked when I got it, but the compressor locked up, so I installed a new compressor, but did not plug it in or put the belts on it yet, because the system is currently empty. I figured someone would want to convert to 134A anyway. The A/C belt is in the trunk. I also installed a new power steering hose that goes to the hydroboost brake booster. It was leaking there and burning off the catalytic converter. There is one more hose from the box to the booster that needs to be replaced, it's in the trunk. I cannot get to the fitting on the steering box without a lift. The interior is very nice, has one split seam in the headliner that could be sewed back up. There is a rip in the leather on the passenger seat as well. The carpet is original and beautiful, as is the dash. Factory stereo works, but I did not test the factory CB. It needs a new switch for the driver's side window, and for the power seats. On the exterior, it could use a couple of fresh wheel covers, and it's missing one opera window trim. The vinyl top is in fantastic condition, and not dry or cracking. The paint shines well, I do believe it's been repainted once. It does have a few small spots, shown in the closeups. It actually looks better in person than in my pics. It has four older matching Cooper tires on it. It could also use a fresh bumper filler on the front bumper. Rear one is in great shape. The headlight doors close when the car is running, but it doesn't hold vacuum when you shut it off. Most likely dried vacuum lines, as the cannisters look good. This is a great car that is "in between" the cheap rotted ones, and the twenty thousand dollar showroom ones. This is the one to grab! It's nice enough that it doesn't need a restoration, but cheap enough to enjoy and not break the bank! There is a required paypal deposit within 24 hours, and balance can be paid in cash, bank transfer, or paypal. The car will be fine here for a week or two while you line up shipping. It's located in Ocala, Florida 34470. You are welcome to ask questions and come look at it if need be. You won't find a nicer one for cheaper coin!
