1965 Lincoln Continental Convertible Additional Info:
$15,000.00 starting bid with no reserve!!
You are bidding on an All Original 1965 Lincoln Continental 4-door Convertible with 117k original miles on the 7.0 430cid V8 motor. The white paint is mostly original (not sure) but it still shines up nice although there are a few imperfections here and there by the driver side wheel wells and elsewhere that could use some work as seen in the pics. There is some blistering on the hood & trunk as well. I can provide close-up pictures upon request.
It's definitely a driver and runs/drives fine and purrs like a kitten when idling. It has a new battery and the carburetor was rebuilt last year. It had a full tune-up in 2016 and has only been driven about 500 miles since.
The original maroon leather interior has no tears or rips in the seats and is in great shape, including the carpet. The center console armrests are also perfect. The suicide doors open and close properly.
The automatic power top is fully functional (I can provide a video) and goes up and down without a hitch. The original top isn't the cleanest and has a couple of wear holes on the corners but is weatherproof interior protection if you get caught in the rain (nobody wants to drive this car with the top up anyway!). This is the perfect cruiser and gets many waves and stares while driving it. It's definitely got 'cool factor' and it's a total conversation piece wherever you go. These cars have been referred to as "Detroit's finest hour". Check out this recent Jay Leno's Garage episode (his is a 1966 but essentially the same car)...

The front driver and passenger and two wing windows work properly and open smoothly using the door switches. The rear passenger windows were disconnected and open and close by hand. The switches on these were a known issue to malfunction at some point but the front ones are operating as they should.
This car has been in our family since 1989 and has always been serviced and meticulously maintained. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly. There are no leaks or drips anywhere. The brakes work perfectly. An upgrade in 1965, the Continentals came with Kelsey-Hayesdisc brakesfor the front wheels. Tires/rims/hubcaps are all in good shape.
I can assist with delivery (enclosed trailer) within a reasonable distance at buyer's expense. Or I'm sure you could fly here and drive it back to wherever you live. It floats smoothly along like a boat, especially on the highway. Please contact me with any questions.
A $500.00 Paypal deposit is required within 48 hours of purchase. Remaining balance to be paid in cash upon pickup or delivery unless other prior arrangements are made.
Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have or for additional pics/videos.
It is for sale locally so I do reserve the right to end auction early upon local sale.
Good Luck and Happy Bidding!
