Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.
Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1991 Lincoln Town Car. I would rate the exterior of this Town Car to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, the paint is faded noticeably from age...especially on the hood, roof and trunk lid. The body itself shows really well for its age. There are no noteworthy dents, scratches or scrapes to point out. All of the cladding is present and intact. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact, too. As you can see, the RF window is stuck down. The alloy wheels show well for their age and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with good tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully as the exterior of this Town Car has definitely seen better days.
I would rate the interior of this Town Car to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age. The door panels are clean and tight. The carpets are cleanand full looking throughout the interior. The red velour seats also show well and are very comfortable throughout. The dash and headliner are clean. The power locks, mirrors and seats all work properly. The drivers window works, but that is the only one that works. The original radio has been upgraded with an aftermarket CD player. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The heater works properly. I can't tell whether or not the air conditioner is working due to the mild weather...so assume it needs charged. The trunk is spacious and clean.
Here is the good part...this car runs like a raped ape. The 4.6L V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine makes good power and feels strong. There have been no idiot lights on. The exhaust has been upgraded (probably flowmasters or something). It sounds loud but isn't too loud. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts normally with no issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints at all. When I brought this car home, she flew!!! The odometer reads 61,XXX miles and is not working. I don't know how many miles this car has. Honestly, the interior is consistent with a lower mileage car. The exterior paint fade and the couple of windows not working is more indicative of age, not mileage...but I cannot sell the car as an "actual miles" car. The mileage with either read EXEMPT for age or TMU (true mileage unknown). She isn't especially pretty...but she runs and drives great. If you're looking for a cheap, reliable car...you should take a serious look at this Town Car. They are known to run and run and run. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
