1957 Lincoln Premiere Additional Info:
I've included a video with exterior detail, copy and paste this: https://youtu.be/Y7vbIhm7TOsI did pull the spark plugs this past week and they look fine. I poured a couple of table spoons of oil into each cylinder to protect them (and let it soak) before I turned it over. The rotor turns instantly with the crank so that's a good sign the timing chain is in good shape. I obviously know nothing about the trans or brakes since I haven't tried to start it or drive it, but the fluids look good and smell good. I do assume the gas tank will need to be cleaned. I don't know when it ran or drove last but the old battery we took out was dated 93 to 98. I saw the interior lights come on, some dash lights, the horn works, the motor in the power front seat works, I heard the motors in both front windows. The door panels and a lot of the chrome have been set in place for the pictures and may be in the back for shipping. The only rust is in the bottom of the spare tire area in the trunk, someone dented it a little at some point. I think these are pretty neat cars because they have some cool things going on like a power foot switch just above the head light bright switch so you can get the radio to seek and scan with a tap of your toe. It also has the battery box under the passenger's feet to gain even weight distribution. Maybe the designer was also a racer? All tires are holding air and I can maybe help with delivery close by for 1.00 a mile. The car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. I'm happy to answer questions if have any, John at 310 709-5561.
